Curado I 5.5:1 Ipt?

Featured Replies

I'm looking at the Curado I in 5.5:1 for cranking. On Shimanos website, they show the 6.3:1 with an ipt of 23 and the 5.5:1 with 26. That seems backwards. Can someone clarify what the actual ipt is for the 5.5:1 model?

Anyone own one that can chime in?

26" for the 6:3.

Just backwards on the website.

I got one. Put a Hawgtech handle on it and made it into a Crankenstein beast.

The CU200I 5:5:1 feels like the reel deal to me. Casts great & is pretty smooth on the retrieve. I'm taking mine to Lake Baccarac  this June for deep cranking with Duo G87 20A & LC SKT 120 Mag DR. I will let you know after that field test. That will be the ultimate test for a deep cranking reel.

I ended not buying one because I scored a bb1 pro in 5.1:1 for the same money.

Just normal, typical shimano.

My curado I's do not, they are tight reels, I have shimanos that are 12 years old and it is a characteristic of shimano to have a slight back tick on the AR..

I was curious because I read somewhere saying you want a little slop on a cranking reel not sure if it matters.
