So, Shimano Owns Lews, Eh?

Featured Replies

I just got rid of all my reels and changed everything over to Lews , I think they are a great mid priced reel , I have a TP. the LFS TLL1H, the LFS LG1H and just ordered a BB1 pro ...To each his own but I can say from my experience that they are well built and smooth casting ....

I'd like to reiterate that the gentleman I spoke to was not a bps employee. He was a factory daiwa rep.

The lews conversation started after I told him I had all lews reels.

If the rep doesn't know his competition, what would he know about his own product? Seems like something I would avoid altogether

That is sad about a rep not knowing his own brand. But I own 2 type R tatulas and a lexa and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I wouldn't mind trying a new curado but the price that the tatulas can be found for on the internet are unbeatable for the value

I love ..f.tooo Bs with reel ppl.only a handfull no anything if that, same as.car dealers i go throwing out motor specs and they have no clue I don't understand im saying.it all comes.back to me and the 100% give it your all or step aside

Don't feel bad about bad sales reps. When I went and bought my Ranger off of the showroom floor, I knew more about their boats than they did. I actually cried on my way to the bank. Such quality ruined by such stupidity.

Its the same with car salesman, most don't know anything substantial about whatever car they are selling. Luckily with the internet buyers can research and be a lot more savy.

I am am a consultant for auto dealers that need help with their sales process and the quality of people we see our clients attracting I can see how BPS has issues all the way around. First attracting good people and then keeping them. The Internet comoditizes cars and fishing equipment alike. However I have been lucky with BPS so far and I bought a Shimsno Bantam 100 from them a long long time ago.
