That was obviously one of the easiest to paint, but would probably catch more bass than the others. Some may do better in certain situations but over all the threadfin pattern would probably outfish them. Makes ya wonder if the more complicated patterns are meant to catch more fishermen than fish. :D That won't keep me from trying to paint more complex patterns though, it's too much fun.

what kind of airbrush and paints are you using?

elduderino,

I use a paasche vl airbrush and createx paint.  Devcon 2 ton for the clear coat.  I thin the devcon.  I have no idea how some of these guys apply that stuff without thinning it.  It's just too thick for me to handle it without thinning it.

Thanks. I have an aztek that i can't get ANYTHING to go through... thinned or not... even with all new tips. Time for new airbrush i think.

probably should go for the iwata.  I haven't used them but have heard nothing but good things.  gravity feed that is.  The paasche I have has some issues but works for me right now.  It seems hard to get good detail work without a stencil.  It's probably just me though.  People seem to like the badger also.  No matter what the paasche is the standard of the industry but the standard isn't always the best just a measuring stick.

I think rubbing alchohol would work to thin but i'm not sure.  I think it's basically the same thing though.  Thanks for all the comments on the baits guys can't wait to paint some more.
