Jig Trailers: Paca Chunk Vs. Paca Chunk Sr.

Featured Replies

Is the Paca Chunk Sr. too big for any particular reason? I'd like to streamline my tackle and not carry so many sizes in everything. I prefer the senior size chunk - just wanted to make sure it's OK to fish that size in winter and summer. Thanks.

I tend to like a full sized trailer better. Just my two cents.

Whatever works for you, everyone shakes their Rod different.

I've used both before, and for me, it didn't seem like one out-fished the other.

I fish and like both. If I only could carry one it would be the smaller.

I like bigger, slower fall rate.

Well, I'm not going to help here but I really like the Tiny Paca "Craw" as a trailer in the winter (when the water gets down to around 42 degrees or colder). I just have better luck with a small profile then.

However, I really only carry 3 colors (Black with Blue Fleck, Alabama Craw and Summer Craw) so that is only about another 6 packs of soft plastics. :)

I prefer to carry one size craw trailer and trim it to the size needed. The other option is to thread a bigger trailer onto the hook. It not only shortens the profile, but still adds the added bulk and bouyancy of the extra plastic.
