New Bass Pro Shop In Memphis

Downtown by the Mississippi River.  Literally about as West as you can get without being in the river or Arkansas!  The Pyramid was originally built to house the Memphis Tigers basketball team as well as other sports and concerts.  It has not been used since the FedEx Forum was built.  The city still owes millions on it, and there had been a lengthy agreement for BassPro to buy it that had been in the works for years, and is now finally coming to!

There will always be naysayers. Everyone in the Memphis area is excited about the

Pyramid. Downtown needs a boost and perhaps the new Bass Pro Shop will be just

the ticket.

I saw that on TV and thought it was pretty cool.  But now looking up that pyramid I found an article how Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's rips off the American public.

Every single article on that website is a negative "the sky is falling" topic. Seems like they need to lighten up and go fishing.

Everyone in Memphis is looking forward to the new BPS. The downtown area is ripe for new investment and development, putting in BPS there is a big step. A few blocks away is Beale Street and you are right on top of Mud Island... this is an expansion of the entertainment district in the works.
