Painting lures

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I might be buying some unpainted lures tomarrow and I was wondering if I could just paint them with basic Testors paint?

Long as you out clear epoxy on it, you could use crayola water colors.

But, tetors does have a tendancy to "wipe off".

Waht I mean by this is paint it come back after 20 minutes when you think it is dry and rub your hand against it. It will be all over your hands.

Trust me I have learned the hard way, I have built several model cars with the stuff, and sometimes it can be pretty harc to use.

I really recommend spray cans of paint.  It isn't precise but with masking and a steady hand, you can make some nice stuff.

I started out with Testors but moved over to water-based acrylics because they clean up with water. I've been a much happier guy.
