I need opinions from owners!  What do you think of it?

I got one a year ago and used it all last summer.  I mounted it on a Dobyns DX 701 and put 10#  PP slick on it.  I used a 6# fluoro leader to toss a shad shape worm on a 1/16 oz slider head.  It became my go to rig and I caught more fish on it than anything else all summer.

 

I have picked up a Pixy but haven't used it yet to tell you how it compares.  I did try casting that 1/16 oz head alone and the rod and reel were challenged.  

Got one this week on a Phenix Recon2. It's spooled with 10lb braid and casts great. I'm throwing neko rigs with 3/64 oz nail weights to 1/8 neko sinkers and it casts them all great.

I have one and it's very nice. Not a very good bfs reel if you want to throw anything under 3/16, or maybe 1/8 in good conditions though. With the fast retrieve rate it's fantastic for 4" senkos, shakey head worms or lighter Texas rigs. Very easy casting typical Shimano style.

What specifically do you want to know? I have the current one and plan on getting the super shallow spool limited when it comes out.

I have one. It's an awesome finesse reel, but I don't mind throwing other techniques with it either. It's the best palming reel I've held.

I got one in January , love mine. Hadn't had a chance to fish with it yet. Right now I have it on a old powell diesal with 8lb pline cx premium and have been tossing 1/8 dropshot weights with it. I'm impressed with the distance I'm getting. Still looking for the right rod for it. It impressed me enough to think about getting a scorpion 1000xt.

With the right rod it can go down to 1/16th. Its probably the smallest reel on the market right now and super comfortable to palm. Pair it with a lightweight rod and you may not want to go back to a heavier set up lol.

It is light. If I remember its somewhere between 7-8lbs. I believe the idea is to help prevent breakage with light line applications. It is smooth though. If I've ever lost any fish from them coming unbuttoned I can't remember. This includes small cranks and wacky rigs/flickshakes.

I have this reel and the pixy type r.  I love this reel more than the pixy because it palms better in my hand than the pixy.  performance wise, they both perform the same when stock, but results may vary if bearings or spools are upgraded.  for me, this thing replace my spinning setup as it does everything my spinning rod does.  all i need is an ultra light baitcast and i wont be needing a spinning setup anymore

The LTD should be a lot of fun with 4-6 lb lines!  Do let us know here when you get one.

Smooth is most important when using very light lines.  That is what I wanted to hear.  7-8lbs is more than plenty.
