Jig Skirt Replacement Question

Featured Replies

I bought some jig skirts to replace some on jigs. When I put them on, the short end of the strands doesn't fold back so it looks like a monster finesse jig. Should I cut these back to the band, or is there a trick to getting them to flow back? I tried rolling the band forward and that helps a little. Any asvice would be appreciated.

Interesting....what brand and material are the skirts?  How long are (were?) the tabs?  I've only had that problem if the head-side of the skirts was really short

It almost sounds like the skirt is backward on the jighead.  If its not a finesse skirt the short end should go toward the hook bend.  Long end points toward the head.  This allows it to give you the bend.  You may have to move the collar some to get it where you need it on the jighead.

Turn the skirt around and put the long end on first.

They are Starflash 2 strand fine silicone. They are 5" long and the rubber band is about in the middle.
