Spro Bbz-1 Rat

Featured Replies

I've been wanting a rat wakebait/swimbait for a while now but they're so expensive. Anyone tried the new Spro rat yet? It looks good and I'd like to know if anyone's had success with it.

$30 for a rat is CHEAP! I have two of them waiting for me that I ordered when they first became available to pre-order in Sept.  Now just waiting to get off work next week to be able to fish them.

Haven't caught anything on mine...yet, but I can already tell it's gonna be a producer.  Well worth the money.  If you're on the fence hop on over.

They look great in the water and have a great clacking sound during the retrieve. 30 is pocket change for a rat too.

Awesome! Thanks everyone! Any suggestions on color?

I got morning dawn, and switched out the hard plastc tail for a bubblegum trick worm.  It looks so cool, but I'm almost self-concious about slingin' a 10" pink and purple rat.

Whatever you like. Fish are going to be more drawn to the commotion than the color with those things.

I know, but you get some weird looks.  On the other hand if you're not throwing a texas rigged worm at my lake you get that.

Saw an episode of Fishing University with Charlie Ingram and they had the spro guy and they used this Rat.. Would be good on the grass on Ky lake..

Anyone planning on fishing the BB-1 rat needs to remember it weighs 2 1/2 oz, You should have a least a MH swimbait rod or H frog rod rated for heavy lures.

No problem got a rod for it, plan on throwing the Ben Parker Spoons also..jus bought six of those
