Field And Stream Retail Store

Featured Replies

Anyone ever been to one? Got one coming about an hour from me in Mobile Alabama. Guessing a cross between a bps and gander mnt.

I stopped at one, prices are a little salty, but they have a nice selection of fishing items...The reloading section is pretty sad.

check out the Field and Stream post in Tackle Forum.

One just opened in Detroit area.  Not as big as BPS.  Fishing section I thought was small and limited.  Good fly fishing selection-sort of.

At least its another alternative close to me.

We have one close to me. I like it a lot because it has some tackle that I actually dont see at BPS. My favorite thing about the store though is it has the best rod and reel selection of any store I have been in, that is including BPS.

Got one 30 minutes away it's super salty price wise. I only go up for the sale items and then sometimes they're retail prices for every where else

Some of thier baits are way high in price, some are average. Ofcource you will have the price protected stuff but that is what it is.

I like that they have a nice lucky craft, kietech, and megabass selection. They carrt some highend gear if thats your thing.

I especially like thier line selection. Seaguar, sunline, Pp, pline, and more

I signed up for their rewards and get coupons every now and then. Combine with their sales the prices are about as low as you can get. I got 3 rapala DT6's and two x-raps for $17 after tax. also got $5 back in points.

I went to two of them while working in Pittsburgh. Not impressed. Have a long way to catch up with the others IMO.

i thought the F&S in cranberry pa 20 mins from the city was nice.  what surprises  me, the closest Bass Pro Shop store is in harrisburg 31/2 drive from westeren pa and easteren ohio.  .just in pa there are several lakes along with Eire in both pa and ohio.  and the lakes in the easteren ohio. plus all around the south west part of pa w/ all the rivers.  " " shrug " "

Field and Stream in Cranberry Twp. PA is the best selection we have for a long distance in any direction. The next closest competitor we have is Cabela's in Wheeling. Sportsman's Warehouse closed up three or four years ago. It's not cheap but the selection is the best in the area.

Whatever happened to BPS building a store in Washington PA? I liked Sportmans Warehouse for fishing. To bad they closed it. I think F and S is ok.

its a arts and craft store now.  dont know why it closed.  the new dick's has a lg supply.  the new store off mckight blvd.

i just stopped in to by a 2 things at the F&S store in Cranberry, pa.  not far off the pa turnpike.  and i was amazed at all the tackle-plastic bait-crank baits etc.  the rod and reel section , i thought, was extensive.  on a side note, does anyone from NE Ohio still go to Kanes in north canton?  is it still open?

We have one around here, decent store. No better or worse than Gander Mtn, much better than a DSG or Walmart, but not quite a BPS or Cabela's.

Their locations are based off the demographs. When I go to Cabs or BPS the parking lot is full of cars from Canada and Virginia. They have to get into the middle of everyone

I have never been to one, but it is DSG's answer for a more outdoors than sporting goods store, which is far better than tripping over the golf section that takes up 2/3rds of a DSG to get to the tackle.

We just got one in Altoona a couple months ago, it seemed expensive to me.
