Help I have a rip in my fishing bag and do not want to buy nor have the money for a new one. How should i fix this?

Camo duct tape.  Wrap it tight, and use a lighter along the edges to really lock it on there. 

Sew it up with some braided line,any pics of the bag ?

Like a DIY fisherman, Thread some 8lb mono through it and then find a way to finish it with a palomar knot

See if there is a shoe and luggage repair store near you. They'll do a good job and it will only cost a couple bucks.

Where are you?  Here in the Bay Area we have an outdoor equipment repair shop where they repair sleeping  bags, tents, backpacks etc.  Look for a place like this near you.

That isn't that bad of a rip.  My first inclination would be to live with it.  Second, I'd try duct tape or gorilla tape.   That gorilla tape is seriously heavy duty stuff.   Third - get a heavy duty curved canvas stitching needle and some braid and sew it shut.

 

None of these fixes are rocket science - I'd go with my first inclination unless I had some spare time and nothing and I mean nothing else to do.

I would use a combo of clothing glue, and heavy stitching. Those two should extend the life of the bag, but that looks to be at the top zipper?

You could also bring it into a tailor. They have the heavier thread, and the ability. Just might not be their normal piece of work.
