A couple different color schemes for a rod flashed thru my head when I saw this. 

I wanted to get the original aurora but they were discontinued by the time I found out about them.

I'd be so afraid to get rash on that thing. Heck I'm afraid to use my Met and it's just a plain Jane paint job.

Ya it's almost like the guys that trailer cars to the car shows. I'm a bit of a tackle junky but only in as far it enhances my fishing experience. I just worked on a big batch of Core 50's & 100's that made me want to replace my whole arsenal.

Looks cool in the photo's. From my past experiences with aurora anodized aluminum, it looks terrible the second you start getting fingerprints all over it.

That's titanium deposition coating, correct? I love those coatings.. I know they do hold/show fingerprints / oil but I feel like on the northern lights finish you wouldn't notice them.. It's a sweet looking reel no doubt!

Someone had the previous version for sale on a forum the other day for 200, but they changed the knobs so I passed on it. Honestly, I was buying the reel for the looks, do not need...I will get one of these now, thanks for making me broke.

Looks like the only difference in looks is the carbon fiber handle
