Senko or the Wiggle Wart

I'm really having good luck with the Strike King redeye shad this year.

Gambler EZ swimmers for me.

Either a shallow running crankbait, or a lipless bait.  It all depends where I am fishing, and how deep the bass are.

I actually prefer using suspending jerk baits made by smithwick rouge. They can be fished very slow in the cold water.

Strike King Red Eye Shad - 1/2 oz. in Sexy Shad color.

Early spring it is a hair jig, mid spring it is a jerkbait and late spring it is a spinnerbait.

I start out with hard jerkbaits fished slow. If I get a follow or two, I'll switch to a 5" wacky rigged Senko. Either of these presentations will get bit from ice out through the spawn.

Got to be the jig ! Every year they produce huge bass in the spring.

Black & blue jig.

I have had three 20+ bass days and a 10 bass day on zoom lizards this spring. I have gone through 6 bags in the last two weeks. Also had some luck on the usual shaky head as always.

Zoom Fat Albert Grub on a shakey head, KVD 1.0 squarebill, wacky rigged Senko.

the 8" Zoom lizard has been good to me this Spring. I've consistently caught decent sized fish with it Texas rigged.

Chatterbait

Jerkbait from ice out till about 48-50 than lipless squarbills and flippin jigs from then on out
