Strike King Naked Rage Blade

Featured Replies

I tried this lure out this evening while bank fishing.  I cast it out on fourteen pound line and reeled it back in.  I did't catch anything but I did get a big thump when I think a bass went after it.  But this thing looks sweet while moving in the water.  I noticed the body had a nice small wiggle that looked really good.

Does Strike King sale different color bodies to use with the jig head?  I don't know yet but I get the feeling this lure will catch the big bass.

Anybody else have this lure?  Any opinions on it?  Also, it cast pretty easy and far on a baitcaster.

If I'm not mistaken you can put various swimbaits for trailers on that setup. I threw one of those a few weeks ago and liked how it was working until a pickerel chomped it off.

I fished the Rage Blade with Big O. We were using a trimmed Eeliminator.

Try a Cut-R. My biggest producer last year was a Rage Blade with a white

skirt/ Rage Structure Bug trailer (white).

I got two to try this spring. I bought some caffeine shad to use on them.

I got to use one in Toledo Bend.  Loved the thump in the water that it produced.  I used the swimbaits which came with it.  Definitely buying more.

The Naked Blade is a louder version of a Scrounger jig head. I use smaller baits with it in the colder water, and upgrade as the water warms up. Swimming Senkos and Super Fluke Jr.'s are my favorite early season baits to put on the bladed jigs.
