Gore is at the end of his career. He has maybe 2 years left. Be happy with Carlos Hyde. Dude is a beast when given the opportunity.

Rex is a breath of fresh air compared to the last few corpses we have had as Head Coaches...

Rex is a pretty good coach and is inheriting a pretty solid defense and made some moves on offense to help that side of the ball out as well.

Indeed. Rex's hire of Roman will hopefully be a boon

for the Bills' offense. I like where we are headed this

2-Maclin resigned with the chiefs

3-Demarco Murray signed with the Eagles

4-Byron Maxwell signed by the eagles 

5-Walter Thurmond signed by the eagles

6-Nick Foles traded to Rams for Bradford and soem draft picks

7-Released Trent Cole and Cary Williams

8-signed Miles Austin

9-Resigned Brandon Graham

 

I am sure i missed something though but there has been a lot of movement with the birds this offseason...

I still don't see where you guys are hurt though , all I see are improvements that will give you even more experience deep in the season , which is looking like a great possibility for the Eagles .

I will say for Redskins fans I like the Goldson pick up!

Draft coming up soon.. Thinking the bills go best player available. . I think there are going to be some shocking trades during those 3 days.. Could see the Bills and Eagles continuing their crazy offseason. .

I agree that the only position that hasn't been upgraded is WR but with all new players it will also be a matter of how quickly the team can become a cohesive unit.  I still think Chip is going to somehow go all in and get Mariota though.

I bet there are more moves to come for chip and the Eagles. I could also see Doug Whaley pulling off some type of trade up or back in the draft.. Been a crazy offseason for these two teams and I am glad to see the Bills doing what they have so far.. I love it.. hopefully the 15 year spell ends this season..

-chip fought with gm howie roseman and got him pushed out of the personnel department, then couldnt get any outside candidate to take the job and promoted from within...all this because they also disagreed on the firing of tom gamble, who roseman felt threatened by due to his bond with chip.

Jaworski: Kelly should mortgage Eagles' future for Mariota

Chip Kelly has repeatedly said this offseason he won't mortgage the Eagles' future to acquire Marcus Mariota.

Former Eagles QB and current Philadelphia Soul owner Ron Jaworski thinks he should.

“You have to mortgage your future,” Jaworski said Friday on Philly Sports Talk. “I know he (Kelly) says he’s not going to, but what mortgage means is you get something now and you pay later.”

“If I’m Chip Kelly,” Jaworski added later, “then I would try everything I can (to move up) because that’s the guy you love and believe in.”

The Eagles have the 20th pick in this year's draft, and it would be a shock if Mariota dropped anywhere near that neighborhood. NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock recently moved Mariota into the top quarterback spot in his positional rankings, ahead of former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston.

The Eagles have several needs, including wide receiver, safety and pass-rusher. In his first Eagles mock draft of 2015, Comcast SportsNet’s Ron Burke had the Birds staying put at No. 20 and selecting UCLA rush linebacker Owamagbe Odighizuwa. Geoff Mosher has the Eagles taking Bruins QB Brett Hundley.

But Hundley is anything but a sure thing. Kelly thinks Mariota is.

“I’ve talked to a couple or three people who have talked to Chip Kelly,” Jaworski said, “and Chip Kelly said Marcus Mariota will win multiple Super Bowls in the National Football League.

“Let me say it again: Will win multiple Super Bowls.”

I didn't bother mentioning the herremans cut because it wasn't a huge deal but i did forget the Sanchez signing which was a good one really, probably the best back up in the league even if he is the most turnover prone QB in NFL history.

 

As far as the whole GM part, mostly speculation and again, inconsequential as Chip is now the GM of the team like he wanted from the beginning.

I thought the move was crazy but after signing Murray i think it was worth a shot.  Kiko showed major promise and didn't get DROY for nothing.  It is also a position where our starter went out with a major injury and is getting late in his career so finding a replacement and a cheap one at that, was worth the gamble.  We also have less money tied up in the RB position now than we would with just having Shady.  Murray does fit the running style of the offense a little better but i still think McCoy is the better all around back.

im ready for the draft more than ever. especially after not having a 1st round pick the last 2 years. i really do miss the old draft format though. rounds 1-3 on saturday, rounds 4-7 on sunday. it game me a reason to sit around all weekend for two days and get hammered while everyone knew not to bother me. now people expect me to do things that sunday lol
