got a little tired of my old design (after making over a dozen of them in a short period of time) so i came up with a new design. i took a picture of a gizzard shad, stretched it a little along the X axis, so it is more long and narrow instead of short and fat, and i came up with this:

Sorry , I overlooked it.

just gave it a real quick bucket test with out hooks and it is a medium sinker, and it sank tail first.

with hooks it will probably be a medium fast sinker and will probably sink level.

sinks a little less than 2 foot per second with hooks and a clip on the nose

All he has to do is to get his masters or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and we have ourselves a wonderful bait designer that will be a valuable individual to the fishing industry after he graduates college.

been waiting to test it before i finished it.

i finally got out on the water tonight to test it.

it swims like a snake!

very fluid action, only downside is that it doesnt start swimming until a fairly fast pace.

tried to get a video but i failed  :-[ ;D

gonna put the photofinish on it tomorrow

i photofinished it this morning. turned out pretty nice. this might take a little bit longer to finish because i am going to put epoxy on the pieces 2 at a time, so it may be a little while before its done. im not in a rush, i'd rather have a nice bait than a quickly finished bait
