The Veritas or Veritas 2.0?

I have the older one. It is awesome.

However. .... it is basically a heavy power rod. I use mine to jig fish, I'm positive I could use it for punching light to medium mats.

I find the 7' medium/fast veritas to be more versatile .... its is heavier than a medium- yet can throw lures a mh may struggle with.

The 7' mh veritas first generation is a great heavy cover/ bottom contact rod.

I have the 7' MH older generation with microguides. It's perfect for most jig and plastic applications, especially light to medium pitching. Only problem I've had is the guide inserts come loose sometimes and have to be glued back on.

I have 6'9" MH 2 piece Veritas.  It's light as a feather, loads up well, and well, just feels really good to me.  For $99 the only thing I've fished that's comparable is ***'s *** series.  They're also feather light but have a very different feel.  Of the two, the Veritas load up better.

I have a couple. They are really a heavy action. I use mine for jigs, flipping, 1-2oz swimbaits, and big spinnerbaits.
