I wanted to try hand tying some rubber/silicone bass jigs, but not sure what to use. Thread or wire? what type or brand of thread/wire? I already have the skirt material and jig heads, but I've only ever used the rubber skirt collars before. Also any tips on the subject would be great!

I use wire.  around 22 ga somewhere.  I dont like thread because it can break when tying.
