Seagure Red Label Line

Featured Replies

I put Seagur Red Label fluorocarbon 20 lb line in my shopping cart at Academy just to consider it and I forgot about it and I bought it at ring-up time and I didn't want to waste time for a refund. I have never used FC line, just wanted to try it. Not even sure how heavy to go. Is this brand FC line considered any good? I fish mostly soft plastics and use pretty heavy braid due to cover in the lakes I fish.

A lot of people will tell you its no good, or has issues. I use it on two of my rigs. Not as leaders, straight Red Label. Price isn't bad. It is kinda stiff, but not a big deal to me.

You say you fish waters with a lot of cover.. I can't say how this line fares around heavy cover. I fish waters with sparse cover with the he exception of a few trees and rocks. So far this line hasn't been an issue for me. Been using it for about a year now. I would think as long as you tie good knots, and keep kinks out of the line, you'll be fine.

I was given a spool of 12# so I put it in a BB1 last Saturday. It worked great. It's good line, I'm sure you will like it. Beyond that I think all the Seaguar lines are good. Let us know how you feel about it after your next fishing day.

I have been using it on one of my set ups since last year and it is still good.  The line is a little stiff but with some line conditioner it works great.  I have had no breaking issues or casting problems.  My only complaint would be, that is has too much stretch.
