Not sure if there is a better book out there for beginners? But it is worth the price and a good start. I have been making my own lures for awhile now and still re-read it every so often.

customer reviews are usually a pretty good indicator, and this book got great reviews. it's probably worth looking at

Got that for my birthday, One of the best books out there! I've been making my own stuff for a few years now but this book taught me some new tricks. Worth its weight in gold, and well worth the price.

Totally worth the price!!!!!  I have the original one also.  I'm always referring back to mine when I get stymied.
