ive noticed that the reel bearing count on some reels are not accurate and don't even show the number of bearing the reel is supposed to have..(lews lazer mg and lews carbonfire) anyone notice this???

no, they have bushings in them...thought of that already. I have these reels and have had them all the way apart several times and the number of bearings does not match what they claim on the box or their website.

and honestly I don't put too much stock in bearing count because I have used reels that have less bearings perform better than reels with more bearings. I still like mine regardless of bearing count but I don't know how lews does this...

i'm assuming that means:

handle should have 1 bearing + 1 bushing in each knob for 2 total bearings in handle

1 side plate

1 spool

1 under CC knob

1 under drive shaft

1 in the levelwind

actually carbon fire(CF1SHL) says 8(7+1 one being instant anti reverse bearing) and to correct myself it actually has 9 and if you count the anti reverse bearing it has 10. 4 handle(2 each knob),spool tension bearing,2 spool bearings,driveshaft bearing and the worm bearing..

 

the laser(LZR)  says 6+1 but actually has 9. same as the carbonfire minus the worm bearing..

 

maybe im thinking of my max reels that show less than the actual reel?? gonna have to check, I swore it was my lews but either way those have more than the reel says...

Sounds like you lucked out then. Most people have to buy extra bearings to get a 4bb handle. You lucked out sir!
