I have a medium power shimano crucial rod in 7'2". I am looking for a ML in a shorter length. I am wondering if there are any brand rods that you all have had  used before that has the same soft xf tip but in a lighter power. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have the Zodias in the 7ft. ML. I believe it also comes in a 6ft 8 . Great rod, I use it for the ned,  shakey head, 3/16 tube ect.

How light can you go with baits with that medium crucial before the casting starts to suffer?

i notice that with a dropshot on a 1/8 oz weight it doesnt seem to throw well. after 1/4 i feel its ok

Have you tried an Avid 6'6" ML

i have not i was looking at the avid 6'9" ml the *** 6'10" ml and the elite tech 6'10" ml...just wanted to see if any one had any experiences with rods with the similar soft tip as the crucials since i have not held any of these rods in hand...selection is not good at the bps near boston...and thats about all there is...haha
