5 Rods

Featured Replies

If you could only fish with an arsenal of 5 rod and reel combos what would your choices be? Mine would be-

7'6 mh fast with a 7.1:1

7'3 mh fast with a 7.1:1

7'1 m fast with a 6.8:1

6'10 m glass cranked with a 5.4:1

Spinner 7 ml fast with a 6.2:1

Man that's tough lol

1. 7'3-7'6 heavy fast with 7.1-8.1

2. 7-7.3 mH moderate with 5.1 for all purpose cranking

3. 7-7'3 mh extra fast with 7.1-8.1

4. 7 medium fast spinning

5. A second 7-7'3 mh but fast action with 6.2-6.8 retrieve.

I don't need five, I can make do with two. A 7' M power spinning rod, and a 7'MH power casting rod. Duct tape and super glue of bass fishing.

#1 Ducket Micro Guides 7'6 MH fast 6.4-1 Abu Revo Beast

Two for me as well, but I usually just fish one rod. I pack just the lures that I'm gonna fish with any one rod. I never feel like I'm just making do, I'm just doing. I sometimes catch bass on a big$ G Loomis, other times it's an L Cheep-o Field & Stream rod, but I have plenty to choose from.

I usually go out with;

1. 7ft mh fast action 7.1.1

2. 6'6 mh fast action 6.3.1

3. 7ft cranking rod 7.1.1

4. 7ft medium spinning rod No idea what the gear ratio is

I guess if I was to add a fifth it would either be a 7'6/7'3 mh or a 7'/'7'1 medium fast action (casting)

7'HF Jig/t rig

7'MHMF Moving baits like spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, etc.

7'MHM treble hook baits

7'MLF spinning rod

7'HF frog rod
