I fish mostly private ponds in east GA... Anyone got comments on any "sure fire" baits, etc. that catch 'em 99.9% of the time??? I've found that pearl super flukes and purple worms produce the best results, but still don't guarantee a catch every time... thanks!

You have to try pretty darn hard to get skunked on a Senko rigged weightless either wacky style or texas style.

His answer's not that good if you're fishing where they ain't. In fact, it's quite easy to skunk with a Senko (or anything else) if you haven't located them first.

Notice the OP said "private ponds".  In my experince locating fish is not that difficult in private ponds.  Correct me if I'm wrong.  BTW, I agree that there is no such thing as "sure fire".  I just gave my opinion of the closest thing of which I am aware.

I missed the private pond part, a type of water with which I have zero experience.

Yes, I'd say the same thing about my beloved Jitterbug. They have been fish-free more times than I care to think about. Unfortunately, they can't manufacture fish.  :'(

Ain't no such bait. Even live bait will get skunked from time to time.

Aside from live bait the closest thing to a sure thing is either a weightless senko, or a 7" Power worm on a jighead.

If you can't catch "em on one of those, you're probably in the wrong place, or the right place at the wrong time

If you are fishing weeds, as most small ponds here in GA are loaded with them, I would say a senko. If the lake is cleaner, may I recommend a roboworm in Aaron's magic. On a shaky head. These things have been a lock for fish for me the past month.

Trickworm on a light splitshot rig or jighead and trickworm. Catches numbers and still catches bigger fish and produces in almost all conditions. It the closest thing you will find but a sure fire bait don't exist.
