Help Identifying This Crankbait.

Featured Replies

I saw this crankbait in an online article, but unfortunately no information was given about it. It resembles a Spro because of the eyes but it isn't on their site or product list. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thats the molix vario crank.

Il teach you something that may help you in the future. If you see a picture on the net, and want to find out more about it, go to google images and click on the little camera icon on the right hand side of the search bar, search by image. Copy paste the image URL or the image itself onto there and you will find all the sites that posts the pic, or similar pics.

Bigturtle, thank you. Did not know about the Google image search function. Well now I guess $12 to buy one of these bad boys.

Or just right click on the picture and select Google search (if you're using Chrome).

I've got one of these. I think I threw it for about 3 casts just to see how it worked. Maybe I should give it another shot sometime.

It has a wide action like I never saw before. Some dismiss it and others love it, I still can decide on whether to get one or not.

I've heard the action of these is unlike any other lure, just have to reel super slow because I guess it'll roll, dive, and spin if you bring it in too fast. Around here we need all the help we can get because big bass are few and far between, and they are pickier than anywhere else I've been. There is a shining light, however. A young man just wrestled a 7lb largemouth to the banks at Lake Jackson in Ohio. This is a lake where if you get a bite you're doing good and if you actually catch anything over 2lb you win tournaments.

I just bought one.  I'm still learning how to use it, but I've been using a slow, steady crank, and every once in a while I'll throw in a couple of quick cranks or a tug with the rod to make it kick out like a scatter rap.  The package describes cranking slow for a "swimming action" and a moderate retrieve for a wider, more eratic action, but I can't seem to find anything between the slow retrieve and the one that makes it roll, other than short twitches.

I'd say the speed difference between a slow retrieve and a moderate retrieve is minimal at best. I had a lure, before it got snagged and lost forever, that lets say 1/2 turn of the handle per second produced a nice tight side to side wobble and 1 turn per second threw it all over the place and made it dive dramatically. This was on a 5.?:1 ratio reel too. I'd hate to imagine what it would be like on the 6 and 7 to 1 ratios.

On a side note, anybody ever use of the Duo Realis cranks? There's some major science behind those lures and just wondering if its all a gimmick like the spring loaded or auto-bleeding lures.

Good baits, own several

Actually its not a norman, eyes r wrong...spro maybe??

That is definately something molix would make. I've seen them before. Not impressed by the company so far. Can't catch nothing with the supernato and the molix lover. Wastes of money so far
