Most Favorite And Least Favorite Techniques

Featured Replies

Dude, I love every technique. I have almost as much fun putting rigs together and customizing cranks and I do actually using them. A big part of the allure of angling for me is the deception involved in getting a bite and seeing just what will be deceiving enough, which rig to fish and how to fish it. It just depends on the situation. And I can tell you that if a certain technique catches bass, it will be my favorite until it doesn't.

However, if I had to answer...

Favorite: Jigs

Least favorite: Buzzbaits

  • I use a T-rigged "Gambler Big EZ", but flank-rig the bait to increase the hook gap, and BURY the hook-point (no Texskinning) To keep the bait running high (just inches below the surface), I use a sma

  • Most Favorite - Jig, it produces bigger fish for me. Least Favorite - Jig, detecting strikes can be a pain. We're told to swing if you feel anything different. If I did that I'd set the hook about 10

Love punching matts, flipping grass, frogging, walking top water, poppers, jigs, senkos, shallow crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and jerkbaits... least favorite is drop shotting and buzz baits ...

Most favorite: Trap bite in late fall and late winter/ early spring. I also enjoy fishing jigs of all kinds, big Texas rigged plastics and also enjoy deep cranking.

Least favorite: anything finesse, don't have the patience to do it!

My favorite is the wacky rig. I feel like all year long I catch fish.second favorite is top water. It's so much fun. Then come flipping, pitching, and punching...... Pigs

My least favorite is deep cranking. I'm not very good at it yet so I don't catch as many fish usually my partner gets the school turned on then I catch them on a football head jig

I love Senko fishing weightless.... always works. caught my PB's on them.

I hate Senko fishing weightless.... caught my smallest on them too and its freakin boring

Favorite: flipping and pitching (jigs, T-rigs)

Least Favorite: spinnerbait

i cant stand just reeling something in, i like to feel and work the bait

My favorite is a tie between dropshotting and jigs..

My least favorite is crankbaits, although I keep buying more of them for some reason..

Favorite-frogs/rats (explosive strikes) Least favorite-frogs/rats (low hookup ratio)

Not much love here for the c-rig or dropshot. I'd have to agree. If I'm using either of those, I've been having a bad day catching. But, I really despise trolling. If I had to troll to catch fish, I'd just a soon stay home.

Fav would be plastics of any kind, as long as it's not a dropshot or c-rig.
