Who Uses Underspins?

Featured Replies

I had never used one until yesterday.  What a cool little lure.  I put a bruiser baits swimbait on it and caught close to 30 fish.  Nothing huge but still a fun time.

After actually reading your post...

No. One little word I missed: "lure"

Hadn't had my second cup of joe when I wrote that.

Sorry, mate.

I've got three of them. Actually broke 'em out yesterday

and cleaned 'em up.

They are convenient, fun, but so slow to retrieve line!!

Anyhow, yeah, underspins are cool reels.

He's referring to the lure type.  Swimg jig head with an underside willow leaf blade.

DOH!

Let me take off my "I'm an idiot" hat.

I was thinking one of these:

I've got one on a crappie jig pole, lol.

I use RoadRunners for crappie, but never used the big ones for bass.

I use 1/4 and 3/8 Northland Thumper jigs rigged many different ways.  Love em

I had my best day a few years ago on a BassResource.com Roadtrip at Pickwick

fishing a Sworming Hornet with a LFT Live Magic Shad. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewshornet.html

That particular day I caught 78 bass.

I have no idea who makes this one.  I got it in a tacklebox I found.  But it relates to a lure I fished when I was younger almost exclusively.... ROOSTER TAIL!  haha..
