For all the scrapple promotion given by members of this site. You would think it would be easier to find, and more popular up here. I've found more people that dine on squirrel, then scrapple. I was honestly quite intrigued by the chance to try this magical meat of mystery, that I've heard so much about. :(

Also, grits ain't supposed to be instant. That is an abomination of nature in and of its self. Cream of wheat and oatmeal are apparently the prevailing breakfast carbohydrate of choice up here.

I think you need to go further east to fulfill your need for scrapple. As far as grits are concerned, they ain't real unless you're picking hair out of them at a Waffle House

Quite true about the grits.

If you like your cornmeal mixed with pork and grease, then scrapple is something you may like. I don't.

Instant anything is for people who don't know how to cook.

As I'm sure you've noticed by now, this state is lousy with tree rats.  But there isn't a scrapple stand as far as the eye can see.

Now in a couple of weeks you really need to travel east for an hour or so to the tiny town of Greenville Michigan.  While there you'll have the chance to enjoy some fresh Aebleskivers.

Love me some pancake balls. Haven't had any for a long, long time. Gonna have to look up a recipe now that you've roused that hunger.

I've heard of pancake boobs, not pancake balls. Do they taste similar

According to Raider. The balls have a nuttier and salty taste.

Nicely done, Sam. And, just for your information, all parts of the pancake are edible, except, of course, the pan.

Pancake balls are another name for aebleskivers, which Steve mentioned in an earlier post. If you haven't had some, you need to do so.

They're a heck of lot better than scrapple.
