First Shoal Bass

Hit the Chattahoochee river yesterday in search of some stripers and came up empty handed on that front.  However, it wasn't a skunk day.  I managed to land my first shoal bass!  It was a fun catch too on my ultralight setup and a small topwater popper!

Yeah, I gotta get out and mark that one off my list :)  From what I've seen, shoalies are supposed to be lots of fun.

It was a lot of fun and the coloring on those shoalies is sweet, kind of a smallie hybrid look.  I caught this guy in the hooch somewhere between where sope creek pours in and cochran shoals, can't remember exactly.
