How can you be such a good teacher and role model and be so poor at choosing sports teams to like? Your a walking dichotomy.

As a high school student, I have a lot of respect for the work you put in to help those kids learn and hopefully be successful in the future. Keep up the good work!

I am sure that much like yourself, you didn't choose the teams you follow they chose you

And in my case, I had no choice. If I wanted a place to live and food to eat I pretty much had to be a Philly sports fan lol

Lol, yea.. Even teachers make poor decisions.

I may be a glutton for punishment but i knew it was going to be rough.  they didn't hide that aspect at all.  This class last year caused two teachers to quit mid year and they had 4 teachers as opposed to our 3.  So basically it means that I have 29 kids and probably the worst behavior problems.  They are working on adding another teacher which would alleviate some of the problems we are having by giving us more room in the class and the ability to manage the students behavior more easily.

 

It really is the kind of place that unless you are here for a day, you can't even comprehend how it is....for example, before breakfast was done yesterday (takes 15-20 minutes), i had to break up two fights.  

 

it's all good though, i want to work with kids that need something positive and well, I found it

Perhaps the school committee could see their way clear to allow the school cafeteria to introduce a small but effective dose of midazolam into the water supply ~

 

That would settle every one down a bit.

I was thinking of starting a boxing club actually....let them get it out in the right forum

We had a recess tag football league, but I can't recall if it was 5th and 6th grades or 4th-6th grades, at a small Christian school.  Congrats on the endeavour.  I believe teaching primary school is a humble calling.  

yesterday two kids were about to go at it.  Instead of telling them to stop or whatever i moved all the desks around and said go for it, i am not going to stop you at all.  All i am going to do is call the office o come get you both. I then said you have the choice to make, go to the office and get a call home or just go sit down and act like nothing happened....they sat right back down..

 

oh and i had a trash can thrown at me today....that was a first lol
