Reel Parts?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I could get one of the 100mm overswept handles for the Daiwa Tatula reels? It comes standard on the Tatula Tactical but I want one on my Tatula HD200. Where do I get one?

Direct from Daiwa if they offer it. You'd have to call and check tomorrow. The tactical is an exclusive reel so I'm about 100% sure you can't order parts for it. The handles are both the same length just different colors. You can order a handle for a 200HD no problem.

the HD already has one. TW has some nice Daiwa 100mm handles that come with 4 bearing Eva knobs for $50. I've been looking at getting one for my cranking rod for a while now but haven't pulled the trigger. They also have 1 knob power handles if you're into that.

Okay I'll go look. Also, does anyone know if having my reels hydro-dipped would cause internal problems? I'm trying to get on my college fishing team and if I make it I'd like to have custom painted reels.

you would need to completely dismantle the reel, which isn't too hard if you've ever done it before. The tolerances between the frame and sideplates are very tight, so I could see problems arise there. I don't know, it would be a complex undertaking to say the least.
