Prime Time For S Waver

Featured Replies

When is the best time of year to throw river 2 sea s waver 168?

I know you could probably catch em all year on it, but when does it shine?

I have experimented with it a little so far with no luck.

Early in the year has been best for me, before everything spawns and most of the baitfish are bigger.

I had success, like Blue said, earlier in the season with my "glides", but I"m hoping it picks up with the season changing, and the fish start looking for big easy meals preferably, as opposed to chasing the schools of shad.

The bite on these large baits will always be more sparse.  The pay-off can be huge.  Wish I knew that from experience.

It will not work in your tackle box!

Fall as good as any seasonal period for swimbaits, glide baits and A-rigs. The bass are moving looking for food. Young of the year bass 5" to 7" long are still in small schools and big bass feed on them...baby bass color S-Waver should work for you now.

Tom, I see a lot of this, schools of small bass, and was thinking this is the time to pull out my Mattlures baby bass, mix it up, but my home waters has huge population of Alwives and gizzard shad in large schools now and the fish seem to be relating to them as opposed to the bass.it's not like the schools are swimming in the same areas either, bass shallow, shad relating to the creeks. Think it's time to put down the A-rig, and go shallow with the bass schools?

They work all year long. There is times of the year some baits work better then others but you don't know until you try.
