Tailer Registration

Some states do not require a boat trailer to be registered.  But for those of you who do register your trailers, where do you keep your registration?

I used to keep mine with my truck registration and other pertinent documents in the glove box of my truck.  I just renewed my registration and got to thinking.  Why not keep it in the boat with my boat registration and other boat related papers?

Doing that, means the registration will always be with the trailer, except, when the boat is on the water.  If for any reason, you tow the boat with another vehicle, you'll still have the trailer's registration papers with you.

I keep all important papers stored in the boat at all times, one zip lock has the TP and roll of paper towels, another has other required documents.

Since I'm subject to tow with three different vehicles, Other than the title, I keep all documents pertaining to the boat/trailer in each boat.

In GA, you can go on line and print as many copies of your license as you want, so l also keep those in the boat.

I keep mine in a waterproof Plano, in a zip lock bag along with my air horn, tool kit, etc so I have no excuse to forget it.

That's the way to do it!

It stays with the trailer thats tied to the truck, so it's in the truck. When I'm out in the boat I don't need any trailer info.

I keep my trailer registration in the truck ,my boat registration  in my wallet and my fishing license in my tackle box .......

Here in Washington, DC auto, boat and trailer registrations are printed on a card. The boat registration is laminated and waterproof.

I keep them all in my wallet.

One in truck, a copy in my main tackle bag, and most importantly a clear picture of all important documents on my phone.
