I have heard goid things about these. Since i dont fish super seriously, id like to keep the cost down. Bass pro has a six pack of 3 1/8oz and 3 1/16oz xps spinners for $10. Anyone try these? I have a spinner i made from scrap, and it works, just pretty big for trout and smallies.

Shockwave inline spinners by Matsuao are high end and excellent.

Mepps Anglia inline spinners are your bread & butter inline mid range price spinners. The Mepps Comet Mino is overlooked for bass.

The differences between a good and bad inline are line twist and the hook used, good spinners shouldn't twist your line and have premium sharp hooks.

I've never had a problem with mepps aglia dressed #3 (1/4 oz I think). As long as the hooks are sharp you will have no problem

Mepps #4's are my favorite. Get the plain ones (no squirrel tail). They catch just as many fish but are a buck or so cheaper. You can't go wrong with the silver blade.

Rule No1.- You get what you pay for, try to "save" by purchasing "cheap" or in your words: keep the cost down and you will end up with a bunch of poor quality products that don´t work properly or don´t work at all, purchase good quality proven brands like Mepps, Blue Fox or Panther Martin, I´ve purchased dozens from those brands and I have yet to find one that does´t work properly.

Panther Martin #4. Smaller ones work great in rivers.

Remember when the action slows down to upsize. The bigger fish come in to see what's going on but won't hit the smaller size bait. I switch to a #4/#5 inline.

In the evening as the bite is on and it slows down as it gets darker go to a brighter color inline you will land a few more bass.

C'mon man, you haven't tried bass scented hush puppies? They're THE BOMB!

Fresh, gutted, catfish on a charcoal/wood mix fire = tasty.

Salt, lemon, plain they eat good.
