I just use superglue.

Trailer Hitch is the real deal. Unless the claws get bitten off you can use the same trailer all day. Worth their weight in gold, especially if you skip a lot of jigs.

You are making your jigs, the keepers are installed prior to adding the skirt and should work for you.

Take a look at Rebard hooks that use a piece of shrink sleeping cut 45 degrees on 1 end ( 1" piece cut in half at 45 = 2 sleeves 1/2"long). The angle cut makes a good barb when the 1/8" D sleeve is shrunk onto the hook shank...works good to hold soft plastics. Add to you jigs, leave about 1/8" between the end of the lead collar facing the jig head.

Oldham's jigs have trailer hitch keepers, thread the trailer on the hook, 2-3 turns & done.
