I ordered a 7'3" HF Dobyns savvy micro guide casting rod for fishing Texas rigs and jigs and in worried I got too stiff of a rod. A lot of people prefer a MHF rod for this technique I'm worried I will loose sensitivity with a H rod any suggestions?

I am in the boat where if it works for you, then fish it and succeed.  Not everyone likes the same stiffness, length, or whatever for various applications.  So try it out and see how you like it and go from there.

 

Me personally, I use a MHXF for my T-Rig and Jigs  (under 3/8oz jigs or bullet weight).  I use this rod in open water, pitching to wood, outside grass lines, sparse pads, etc.  I do own another rod I use for thick mats, heavy pads, etc and it is a XH.  I try to use my MH whenever possible and where I fish is most of the time.

Dobyns heavy, 4 power, is closer to most companies medium heavy. The 734 is a really versatile it's not a very heavy power rod. there is no industry standard for power and sction of a blank.

You should be fine for the rod is well within those weight ratings. I use my champion 734 heavy for jigs and medium to large Texas rigs and have no problem besides its good to have a little bit of extra power if need be .

No problem with feeling what going on with your jigs and worms, the heavy should increase your feed back.

The only issue will be casting, a stiffer rod is less forgiving in regards to timing your release point. I prefer to use both 5 and 6 power rods making long casts with 1/2 oz jigs and worms without any issues.
