Alright, so I've decided I'm gonna buy myself a Dobyns Fury Casting Rod. Only problem is I've heard they don't run true to how heavy they are. I've looked on Tackle Warehouse and they have suggestions but everyone says those are inaccurate. Little trouble since everyone has a different opinion. I'm lookin for something that's 7 foot and ideal for spinner baits, buzz baits, senkos, square bills, jigs and can handle frogs too. This gives me a choice between the 703 and 704 models. I need some advice from people with experience and thanks to all who contribute. Tight lines everyone!

For what you listed, I personally you take the 703. Although it probably won't have the power to fish a frog. It's gonna be hard to find a rod that can fish both crankbait and a frog. But like I said originally if you don't plan on fishing a frog then get the 703. It will fish like most other people's mediums, where as the 704 is more like a medium heavy.

You are simply asking too much of a rod to handle almost every technique.

A medium heavy fast action with x line will do most of them but none of them to full potential.

To the OP, for the all the techniques you want this rod for, there is a give in take. For the moving baits, you can't go wrong with a 703-704. For jigs definitely the 704 will be a good rod. Now the frog... that one imho would have to be a 5 power. Like the 705 if Fury comes in that combo. I know they have 735's. That's an ideal frogging rod.

The 703 will handle the spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, senkos, squarebills, and 3/8oz and under jigs fine. It will also work with buzzfrogs OK but I'm not using this rod in any sort of situation where I have to pull a fish from cover. i.e Frogs. 

I have the Fury 734c and I use it for all the techniques you mentioned except for squarebills. I've pulled some hogs out of some pretty narley stuff fishing a jig and a frog. The backbone kicks in about 18 inches from the tip. It may not be ideal, but I fish mostly pads, not too much matted grass. It is absolutely perfect for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I hope this helped and didn't confuse you more. I certainly agree with many of those who have already replied.
