Halo Rods

Tackle Warehouse recently dropped their sale price on the Halo Twilite series and I'm tempted to go ahead and get one. Does anyone have any experience with these rods or another Halo series?

I've had a day lite for a while now don't use it much anymore but it's been a good rod.

These rods are similar to Fitzgerald, Hammer, and Okuma TCS rods in that they all have a parabolic action. So if you use braided line you may like the rod but if you use fluorocarbon or mono you may want to look at something with a fast action.

I'm glad you brought up the action of the rod, that was one of my main questions. I am more than likely going to get the 7'3" Heavy for frogging and flipping around trees so I will more than likely be using braid

And they don't have lure ratings? That sucks. I'm about to pull the trigger on a light swimbait rod. For 2oz soft swimbaits. Hud 68s, mat ultimate gills. Hudgills. Smaller glides, etc. I want a 7,6 rod and not longer, my first choice is an gloomis imx swimbaitrod, then maybe an irod, but these halos at this price is a really good deal. If the xx heavy can handle smaller swimbaits

As long as we are talking about their action.  I have been told that they can be used for a kind of multi purpose crankin rod?  Anyone think that a 7' md heavy could be used for a crankbait rod?

What yall think of the 7'6 XH for punching thick grass with 1.5oz weight? They have H, XH and XXH in that length

I have both the Daylight and Twilight models in different sizes--have to say for what Tackle Warehouse has them discounted to you are getting a very good rod--they are clearing out the original line to make room for the new series--great prices on a very good rod

Think you would be happy with the XH 7'6" for punching and flipping thick grass--that is what I use to flip and pitch in Florida with--the 7'11" XH is a real beast but I guess I am too short for that length--7'6" XH does a great job for me but everyone has their own ideas--glad I went ahead and bought my first Halo despite the reviews I read--have been very happy with all of my Halo's

Sent you a pm Kadas

I just bought 2 of them! 7'6" heavy for flippin and pitching and 7' med for spinnerbaits. And the red grips will look sharp with my revo sx's!!

I bought 1 the 7'6" extra heavy... Hope i chose the right one I couldn't decide between that one or the triple XH

I've been looking to get away from from my fast action punching rod and try one with a parbolic bend. Glad I get to try this one for such a cheap price
