The Caenan is a good reel, what sucks are those knobs. Instead of a Caenan I would get me an Exceler without thinking it too much.

Somewhere I saw the Excellerson sale, not a bad deal when on sale.

if you have a choice between a composite frame and a solid, one-piece aluminum frame, take the aluminum frame every time. every good reel starts with a strong frame. (fwiw, i had a caenan briefly)
