I found this bait at a local lake here with half the paint chipped off, so I repainted it  ;)  My friend says it needs a gill, and I think I'm going to paint one on there to see how it looks.  I'll post pics if it looks any better haha.

Nice, I like the stripes. I agree with throwing a gill on there  ;)

It doesn't need a gill unless you are trying to catch fishermen.   The paint looks great as is.   Now get the bait wet and be rewarded for your hard work with a fish.

Big M's right about the gill.  That's probably more for the fishermen.  However, when I first saw it I was thinking tilapia.  Just a thought.

Looks great bud! The gill will set it apart from looking like any other crankbait IMO. I don't think its 100% necessary but its fun catching some of the fisherman sometimes ;)
