Anyone have or has heard of anyone using the Quantum KVD Baitcast Combo? MSRP is $129.99, but one of the local Wal-Mart's has a couple on clearance, I have looked around for some reviews online but haven't found anything solid. Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated.

Ive had issues with the Quantum Kvd brand of reels. Mine at least would always birdnest like heck, then I bought a pro max on sale and was like hey its not me doing the birdnesting. So I would be wary of it. It seems to good to be true. 

I can't tell much about the rod.  Looks like an older Team KVD Flipping reel -- if so, those go for under $70 on ebay.  

If clearance price is less than that for the combo, its probably a decent enough deal.  Do you need a 6'10 MH rod? 

Not everyone loves the flipping switch, but I can see why there are those that do like it.

If less than a hundred bucks, I'm sure you could do worse.  But, don't be surprised if you're back here looking for a better rod before the spawn if over.
