dobyns flipping/punching rod

Featured Replies

Looking for a new dobyns rod for punching at lake Seminole but also for flipping trees and thick cover. Would the fury 765 be to light for punching with a 1-1.5 ounce weight? Or would I need to go to a 766 for the punching. I would like to kill two birds with one stone here and be able to use one rod for both techniques if possible!

Thanks

I got a dobyns savvy micro for Christmas and it looks and feels great it's a heavy fast action rod and I'll have to warn you it's more on the MH side like I had heard which is what I was wanting so be sure to order heavier than you would with another brand

766 would be mu choice if using 1.5oz. 1oz amd undrer the 765 would suffice. 766 is the beefiesy rod they make.

However, the dx795 is on sale for 199 and you can save even more by using giftcards. Thats the best punching rod ive ever used.
