fish bedding in north Florida already???

Featured Replies

Went to a local pond the other day and saw what im pretty sure were bass beds. I was wondering if anybody else has seen any beds or bedding fish other than spring fed places like lake George. I know they spawn earlier there. Thanks.

I have seen a couple bass nest with males on them down here in South Florida.

I live on a 16 acre lake near jax.I caught a 6.3 pounder on Christmas day off a bed that I had noticed several days before. This is the earliest I've ever seen bedding in this lake, and I've fished it for 40 years.

There have been beds in Okeechobee and Istokpoga for the past 3 weeks or so. Not many but enough that you don't have to run around looking for them. Once it starts getting a little cooler they will explode.
