Anyone have any favorite baits for those deep cold rocky lake smallies of Nothern Minnesota/Canada? Also.... Has anyone caught a 5lb+ smallie up there?!

    spent 4 nights canoeing in the boundary waters several years ago and had an awesome time.

    didn't catch a 5 lber but had decent luck with inline spinners, small jigs, small cranks.

    the water is very clear and don't throw anything you don't mind loosing to a pike!

    the guys on the forum below where very helpful with my all of my questions regarding the trip I took.
