I can def get it on plane nice and it gets to low 30s full throttle. It’s the factory prop. Its black and chipped up a bit, haha. It’s mounted on the top hole. What’s the best position for the motor for speed? What prop would you recommend?

It’s a 4 stroke mercury. 2014 by myself and all gear and 7-10 gals of gas I’m low 30s. I just have the factory prop.

What is the best way to get my hole shot and top end speed up on my 2015 bass tracker 175txw w/a 60hp Mercury? I’m not super savvy so keep it simple if possible, haha. Props, motor height, jet fuel ???

As in seagulls on the water? Main river banks any good? Or should I look for creeks or points? Jerkbaits any good? 3 in rage swimmers?

I’m heading down to Chickamauga next week. Never been. Staying at Blue Water Resort in Dayton. Anyone know any good spots on the lake for bass in that area? Maps? Creeks? Hoping to catch a hawg! Thanks for any advice on location, tackle etc.

So sounds like you’d stay with the 7’1 mh/f LTB if you were me. That’s crazy usin a mh rod for jerkin. I’d like to try that.

I am looking to get a new st croix spinnerbait rod for 3/8-1/2oz. I’m really lookin at the LTB 6’9 sniper or 7’ sweeper. Anyone use them? I am currently using the LTB 7’1 MH-F. Is it worth the switch?!

Anybody got any input on the St Croix LTB 7’4 Hev/Fast? I want a real nice Carolina Rig Rod. Wonder if it’s to stout or if sensitivity will be fine....Sounds like the are discontinuing the 7’4 Med Hev “C Rig” rod.

Gosh that would be awesome! I don’t know the first thing about trimming the motor yet. I have research props. The lakes I fish are fairly small and shallow. 40 foot max. Very clean rocky lakes. What prop do you recommend I run? And pitch? That’s pretty solid! What do you mean by “trimmed out” how far out/up are you trimming the motor? I hear that you better still see the motor peeing. I’ve only operated tiller motors up till now!

I got the 6’9 Fenwick elite tech Smallmouth rod in med hev, fast. Love it for jerks and rip n raps. Soft tip plenty of backbone. All over on eBay. And the got killer color and comfort

I hear ya man. I got two strong recommendations from two elite series pros but I have never even held the rod. I really hope it can double as a sweet chatter rod!

I just purchased the 7’4 med-hev, mod St. Croix Legend glass for my main deeper crank rod. I would also love to toss my Chatterbait with it. Anybody got any experience or advice on this new stick?!

Yep. Both. Thank you everybody for the info. I will def take into consideration all the advice. Does that 6:8 give enough power to get the bait down? Not to much strain? I have a 5:1 quantum energy real and I have a 6:4 quantum Tour Ed but thought that would be too fast.
