I am an experienced angler but just now diving into (no pun intended) the art of deep crankin. I bought a decent arsenal of series 5’s through 8xd’s. I want to get a nice med-heavy, mod Crankbait specific rod and reel! Which set up should I get! Hit me up experienced crankers!

Anyone know where I can find a Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth rod? Specifically the 7'4 medium fast spinning rod. I know they stopped making them so I'm trying to track one down! Any advice??? thanks

4-6 in gold/orange and black smithwick suspending rouges are tough to beat in clear water. 6-8 lb fluorocarbon will get it down a little. Olive green and pearl husky jerks are great too!

Anyone have any favorite baits for those deep cold rocky lake smallies of Nothern Minnesota/Canada? Also.... Has anyone caught a 5lb+ smallie up there?!

Thanks for the help guys! I just purchased the last elite tech smallmouth spinning rod at Hanks Tackle in Waterloo, IA. Mike was so kind and knowledgeable. He is shipping it out today! I'm so pumped! I got the 6'9 med with xtfst tip. This will be my tube jig/grub machine!

Hey there..Just purchased BassHound 10.2 from Sams Club Friday, used it saturday. By the end of 3 hours of fishing it had takin on alot of water between hull and deck. could hardly tip it up to drain the water out. It says that it may take on a little water, but my gosh i could not move it. This can't be normal! Any advise? Anything I can do to stop the water take in? Thanks
