Shimano Corvalus

Featured Replies

Im curious about the Shimano corvalus. I'm getting a Dobyns fury 7"9 MH swimbait stick and was going to pair it with a Cardiff but I found a corvalus for $45. Should I go with that? Have you guys used the corvalus before?

The Corvalus is one of the few duds Shimano has produced.  Get the Cardiff or if you want to save $$$ a used Abu 5500.  You can get those all day long for $30-$50...

Absolutely not. One of the worse baitcasters I've ever seen.

My dad has one of those...makes a great paper weight.

I watched buddy throw his as far out into the lake as he could get it after he cast off his 3rd A rig in one trip because of one of those pieces of junk. I thought maybe it was just him but I tried to set that thing for him and all it would do is blow up unless it was set so tight that it couldn't cast far enough to be effective anyways.
