Soft plastics in boxes

Featured Replies

I fish a lot of longer worms and can't stand when I get one out a bag and its bent. Would putting worms in a Plano box mess the worms up at all?

Boxes are fine, just not as space efficient. I like boxes because of the organization compared to the chaos bags. The only thing I don't like about boxes is I like to add attractant to most soft plastics and if it isn't a special sealing one, it dries up or leaks.

Plano makes an XL stowaway box that is much wider and deeper. Great for soft plastics. If not a one gallon Ziploc will do the trick as well!

I use boxes also.

Just adjust the dividers to store them either horizontally or vertically depending on how you store your boxes. I spray them down with garlic every so often.

I use boxes too. I keep a rubbermaid tote at home with my plastics still in their bags, sorted by type into large ziplock bags. When my boxes get low, I just get into the tote and grab enough to top them off. I hate having empty bags all over the boat, or digging through a mess trying to find one bag of something, one glance at a box and I know exactly whats in there.

I personally use boxes. I just adjust the dividers so each type of worm has its own spot. For example: bottom right is finesse worms top right is senkos top left is grubs and so on.

Boxes will work, but you will have too store them flat,or standing length ways. Standing boxes of plastic,on end allows them to gravitate into a curled glob, revealing half the box empty. :)

To me, this is a bigger problem with plastic swim baits that come in hard plastic trays.  They take up A LOT of room in the tackle box.  But I'm afraid putting them in a bag or loose in a hard tray will bend the tails and affect their straight swimming action.  What do y'all do with them?

i keep all of my SK plastics in their original packaging then i also have a box of craws though it is mainly to keep scent separated
