Storm Arashi Silent Square

Featured Replies

Picked up some of the 3's today while at Meijer. They had them on clearance for $5 marked down from $9. Figured I'd give them a shot. Anyone have experience with these? Reviews seem fairly positive.

Here's what I grabbed:

I like them (as well as the rattling, and a lot of the other Storm hardbaits). They are the only other square-bill I use besides the SK KVD's. The nice thing about them is they come with good hooks and don't need to be changed right away to be fished IMHO. I tend to like the silent Arashi's in clearer water earlier in the season before the grass gets real thick as they offer more translucent finishes, and I  especially like them when they (the bass) want a bait to be burned, that self tuning line tine is legit, I like the rattling ones for dirty water around hard sparce cover, and I like the KVD's better in heavy cover, they just come through it better, esp. grass.

Good hooks, good paint, good action, good durability.

What more do you need in a bait?

I have them in both the 3 and the 5, they work really well. I have a good selection but any time they are on sale I'll buy 3 or 4 more, and that reminds me, I should get a few rattling versions as I have none, well no Arashi rattling baits.

I did really well with them this summer/fall in the bluegill color. Stock hooks are not great. I ended up changing all mine out after having a few open up.

Great paint job, runs as good as any bait ive used. However, ive had issues with their hook quality. I replace all of them.

Probably my favorite squarebill as of now. Great baits right out of the package. I've had a lot of success on the 5 size in chart blue back

I like them a lot. I only buy them when they are on sale though.

I have both the 3's and the 5's in the non-rattling model.  Definitely a quality bait that catches fish.

No issues with hardware thus far.
