well we've been lucky up here in ma. this winter but it's finally hitting us!  lakes and ponds are icing over. i have family in the lake mary / sanford area and am looking at getting down for a few weekends to get my fix in , anybody from around the area that would have any tips on were to go , i don't have access to a boat so i'll be bank bound any help would be great, thanks todd

I've found that the little ponds on the off ramps of I-4 are good but WATCH OUT for cottonmouths

I'm not sure about the Sanford area, but in Orlando lake underhill and lake baldwin have some areas were you can bank fish. 

Sanford is pretty straight forward, are you shore fishing or boating?

dude lake mary is loaded with golf course ponds full of bass. In all the neighborhoods in the retention ponds you'll find bass as well. Just google Map the area and you'll see them everywhere. 

Find the intersection of 417 and narcoossee rd.  Head south on narcoossee and locate ponds on google maps.
